The Euselasias, a subfamily of metalmarks, have got to be one of my favourite groups of butterflies. They are challenging to observe well as they usually land upside down underneath a leaf and are generally uncommon; I've only identified eight of the 30 or so species recorded at the lodge so far. In mid-August, however, this species,
Euselasia clithra, was suddenly all over the place and quite numerous along the various trails.
